Please note that — as communicated through our various channels, and as described on our website and in the official Tezos Fundraiser documents — the minimum contribution to the Fundraiser is 0.1 XBT (one-tenth of a Bitcoin).
This minimum applies to every separate Bitcoin contribution, or to Ether contributions in aggregate. For example, if a contributor makes multiple Bitcoin contributions of less than 0.1 XBT each, this will not lead to a recommended allocation of Tezos tokens even if the contributions add up to 0.1 XBT or more. However, if a contributor makes multiple Ether contributions to the same key, these will be recognized as a single contribution and if the total exceeds 0.1 XBT, this will lead to a recommended allocation of Tezos tokens.
The reason for this disparity is that the Bitcoin blockchain charges transaction fees for each separate transaction we receive, while the Ethereum blockchain doesn’t.
While the contribution terms state that contributions of less than 0.1 XBT are non-refundable, we intend to return such contributions, minus the related transaction costs. We will investigate the best way of doing so, after the fundraiser is over.
We are grateful for the amazing support our contributors have demonstrated, and look forward to welcoming all of you to the launch of the Tezos network later this year.
